Every few months, it is a good idea to take a short break from our regular eating habits and instead go for cleansing foods and drinks. This allows the digestive system and detoxification organs a much needed break. If one is not suffering from any chronic illnesses, short cleanses like these are very beneficial to reset the natural rhythms of the body. If one is having chronic health conditions, than a much longer and intense cleanse might be required.
