This juice has many ingredients that provide wonderful health enhancing and inflammation lowering benefits. However, the star of this juice is Parsley.
According to WebMD, "Parsley is a powerful natural diuretic and can help reduce bloating and blood pressure. Parsley is loaded with vitamin K, which has been linked to bone health. The vitamin supports bone growth and bone mineral density."
Due to these wonderful qualities, regular intake of parsley can even lower the risk of developing osteoporosis later in life as well as improve the health of kidneys.
Recipe for 12 oz Anti-Bloating Juice:
1 bunch parsley (Any type of parsley is good)
1/2 medium beet root (peeled if non organic)
5 stalks of celery
1 large orange (skin shaved not peeled as the outer white part (just under the skin) contains most of the nutrients
1 large handful of any leafy greens ( I used mixed power greens)
1/2 inch ginger
1/2 lemon juice
Directions: Put everything through the juicer and enjoy the electrifying juice. For thinner consistency, strain it before consuming. For juicing greens, you need a good quality cold press juicer. I recommend investing in either Nama J-2 or Kuvings juicer.
For a 16 oz smoothie:
You can use the same ingredients to make a smoothie. However make the following adjustments.
Use 1/2 bunch of parsley (instead of whole bunch) and 3 stalks (instead of 5) of celery, the rest of the ingredients are same. Chop all the ingridients and blend with 10 oz water in a high speed blender and enjoy.
