Enduring pain vs eating healthy!

Updated: Feb 23, 2022

As a certified health coach, sometimes it gets frustrating to see how people are willing to endure extreme pain and discomfort at the expense of eating foods that can actually make their health a lot better. Most people unfortunately don't realize this simple truth; we cannot break nature's laws when it comes to our physical and mental health. Nature's laws are very clear; every morsel of food that goes into the body either provides healing or causes destruction at a cellular level. When it comes down to most diseases (specially chronic diseases), they do not appear out of thin air, sometimes they can take weeks, months, and even years to manifest.

That everyone will die is an irrefutable fact, but does one really need to endure unnecessary suffering/pain for years before the end finally comes? Are the few minutes of joy from eating one's favorite (unhealthy) food more important than years of disease, pain and sufferings? Is it really worth it? If it is than my friend you have an addiction problem. Only if you are able to recognize that you are addicted to foods/drinks, can you take the steps to come out of it.

Please know that, if you do not take out processed foods, junk foods, fast foods / oily / cheesy foods, sugary foods/drinks and eat more fruits, vegetables, lentils/beans, whole grains, nuts/seeds, than every year could be more challenging and painful than the previous one - especially if you have started to feel unhealthy already. If you are not willing to change the way you eat then no amount of short term solutions like cleanses/detoxes, supplements, herbal tonics/potions will come to your help. Also, you cannot exercise your way out of a bad diet as well. It doesn't work like that.

Wear and tear is normal with age but the body has the natural ability to repair a lot of damage provided we give it the right types of foods and make good overall lifestyle choices. There is so much science that clearly shows eating a diet rich in processed foods, animal based foods, fast foods, oily foods results in a much shorter life span, extreme pain, inflammatory conditions like arthritis, weight gain, heart disease, diabetes, alzheimers, and many other auto-immune disorders etc.

I know first hand it is not easy to make changes to years of eating a certain way but we must put in the effort before it's too late. In fact, it's non-negotiable if we do not want more misery & pain in the future. If you feel you are not strong enough to make necessary changes to your diet then take the help of a certified health coach. Know that, if you give your 100%, it is possible to experience a significant difference in your health in just 90 days of making the changes. But ultimately, the responsibility for your own physical and mental health lies with you alone. A health coach, however good he/she is, can only give good guidance, support and inspiration, but he/she can't play for you.

When it comes to your physical and mental health, get the best possible help. Learn how to eat healthy by consulting with a certified health coach. For a change, spend your well earned money on your own health, otherwise good folks in the picture (below) will be more than happy to take a lot more of that and also send you back with a big bundle of medications as well.
