Made an amazing warming and nourishing pumpkin spiced smoothie for the one week fall cleanse that I organized recently.
Ingredients:
1 Cup boiled /steamed pumpkin or 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 1/2 cup warm almond milk. I recommend making it at home. But "Three Trees" brand doesn't have any preservatives and can be bought from whole foods.
2 dates (or 1 teaspoon Maple syrup or other sweetener of choice)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Small pinch black pepper
1/4th teaspoon cinnamon
Small pinch cardamom,
Small pinch cloves
Small pinch nutmeg (optional)
Small pinch all spice (optional).
Directions: Blend everything together in the blender for about a minute. If its too thick, add a little hot water. Enjoy on the cold mornings or evenings :)
