Tropical Green Smoothie

The tropical green smoothie is not only tasty but it also packs a punch when it comes to health enhancing nutrients.

Ingredients:

2 to 3 pineapple chunks (core removed) 1 Medium size Mango 1 medium banana 2 big handfuls chopped kale or chard (spinach can be used as well) 16 Oz filter water or Coconut Water 1 tablespoon Hemp Seeds (optional)

Instructions: Add all the ingredients in the blender. Blend it on low for 10-15 seconds followed by 40-45 seconds on high. Do not run the blender for too long as it will heat-up the contents of the smoothie and destroy some of the live enzymes that are a key to its nutrition and health benefits.

Pineapple is loaded with digestive enzymes and are great for chronic constipation symptoms. Make sure to get pineapples that are ripe. Ripe Mangoes have lots of dietary fiber and also add sweetness to the green smoothies. Coconut water provides additional electrolytes for the body and is also very hydrating.

Hemp seeds are a great source of plant based proteins. So if you are worried about your protein intake on plant based diet, hemp is one of the possible solutions. Unlike Flax or Chia seeds, you don't have to soak the hemp seeds. Note: This smoothie can easily fill a 20-24 oz jar. If planning to store, keep it in the refrigerator in a glass jar with a tight lid to avoid oxidation. This smoothie can easily last for up-to 36 hours.
