This smoothie is well liked by both kids and adults. It is loaded with antioxidants and tastes divine. In fact, it tastes so good that I call it a dessert smoothie - something one can surely have once a while.
Ingredients:
1/3 Cup Strawberries (Use frozen if can't find fresh)
1/3 Cup Raspberries or Blueberries (Use frozen if can't find fresh)
1/3 Cup Blackberries (Use frozen if can't find fresh)
1 teaspoon peanut or almond butter
2 Medium bananas
2 pitted dates
12-14 Oz clean / filtered water or fresh coconut water
Instructions:
Add all the ingredients in the blender. Blend it on low for 10-15 seconds followed by 40-45 seconds on high. Do not run the blender for too long as it will heat-up the contents of the smoothie and destroy some of the live enzymes that are a key to its nutrition and health benefits.
Berries are low in calories but very high in health regenerating antioxidants. Being astringents they are great for detoxification and cleansing the body and lowering the inflammation.
Note: This smoothie can easily fill a 20-24 oz jar. If planning to store, keep it in the refrigerator in a glass jar with a tight lid to avoid oxidation. This smoothie can easily last for up-to 36 hours.
